In addition to the student interest magazines that Pirate Media produces throughout the year, I am also the production manager for the Newspaper, The East Carolinian. Once a week, myself and a team of designers get together to complete layouts and spreads for the printed newspaper in Adobe InDesign. On these nights, we base our ad placements and articles written by our reporters and editors on the Dummy that I create earlier in the week. A lot of our layouts follow a standard newspaper design and composition, and all of us switch off on which pages we complete each week via my instruction.
